Why the gym should feel like coming home

People jumping in the horizon

Most gyms are designed to intimidate: mirrors everywhere, loud music, rows of equipment that can feel impossible to navigate as a beginner. We built CLR to be the opposite.

Our studio is a converted living room in Kralingen — plants, natural light, a handful of clients at a time. There's no waiting for equipment and no feeling like you're being watched. Just you, your coach, and the work.

Environment shapes behaviour

The research on this is consistent: people who feel comfortable and unselfconscious in a space train more often, and train better, than people who feel judged or rushed. A calmer environment isn't a nice-to-have — it's part of what makes the coaching work.

That's the thinking behind the living room. It's not a gimmick. It's the reason clients keep coming back.
