Motivation is unreliable. It's high when you start something new and it fades — often within a few weeks — regardless of how much you wanted the result. The clients who keep training for years aren't the most motivated people we coach. They're the most consistent.
Systems over willpower
A system might be as simple as a fixed time slot each week that's non-negotiable, or a coach who's expecting you. Systems remove the daily decision of "should I train today?" — which is exactly the decision that motivation struggles with once the novelty wears off.
Build a system that makes training the default, not a decision you have to make from scratch every single day.
